REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

  • In addition to all basic scuba equipment, divers are required to carry a surface maker buoy (SMB, aka Safety Sausage). This is for your personal safety and the presence of boat traffic at many dive sites.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:

  • Dive light(s) are highly recommended for most sites, especially wreck dives.

  • Gloves are recommended for any wreck dives due to the inherent hazards, as well as  the presence of zebra mussels with sharp shells throughout the river.

The Regulator is a 34-foot SeaRay that has been specially modified and converted into a commercial dive vessel. She features an easy-to-board, 'Christmas tree' style dive ladder with an extra large dive platform for safe and easy entry and exit.

Her wide beam provides 12 feet of space between the gunwales, making for a comfortable environment to travel and gear up.  She cruises comfortably at 25 knots to get you to and from your dive sites quickly.

The fully enclosed deck shields you from the sun on hot summer days and helps keep you warm on those chilly North Country days at the extreme ends of the diving season.

There is a dry storage area available for personal belongings, and a marine head on board for personal necessity.   Light snacks and beverages are always on hand for our divers.

The Regulator is a US Coast Guard inspected vessel, and oxygen and first aid equipment are always carried on board.
